We take the issue of privacy very seriously.  Any information collected on the Site will only be used for the purpose stated.

The Site is only for important CIAIP Technical Assistance Resource Center communications.  The Site posts users’ contact information in order to facilitate communications among users. The Site may use "cookie" technology to obtain non-personal information from its on-line visitors.  “Cookie” technology is also used to allow users to login in order to view the website, create blog posts, post comments, and participate in forums.  No personal information other than email address, full name, and timezone (optional) is associated with user accounts.  We also do not contact you based on information in your cookie file. The CIAIP Technical Assistance Resource Center has taken steps to make all information received from our online users as secure as possible against unauthorized access and use. All information is protected by our security measures, which are periodically reviewed.

We will not use software that aids in gathering information about a person or organization without their knowledge and which may send such information to another entity without the consumer's consent, or asserts control over a computer without the consumer's knowledge (“spyware”).

IP Address and Cookies

We may use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server and to administer our Site. Your IP address may also be used to help identify you.  We use cookies only to keep track of your password and to personalize your web page.

Cookies

The Site places small bits of text or "cookies" onto your computer's hard drive. If you do not log out of your account, these cookies allow the Site to keep track of your username and password, so that you do not have to resubmit the information to log into your account. Always remember to log out of the Site so that the computer’s other users cannot access your account.

Gathering of Non-Personally Identifying Information

The Site collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. The purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use our website.  The Site also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses. The Site will not use such information to identify its visitors, however, and does not disclose such information, other than as described below.

We will not sell to third-parties any individually identifiable personal information (e.g., your e-mail address, name, etc.) that you supply.  If you would like your information deleted, please contact the CIAIP Technical Assistance Resource Center and provide us with your user name and the e-mail address which you provided to us:

Online Surveys

We may run surveys on our Site wherein we ask visitors for contact information (such as their e-mail addresses). We reserve the right to use contact data from our surveys to send users information about our program, should you provide it. At your request we will stop sending you information about our program.

Under California Civil Code sections 1798.83-1798.84, California residents are entitled to ask us for a notice describing what categories of personal customer information we share with third parties or corporate affiliates for those third parties or corporate affiliates' direct marketing purposes. This Site has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of information under our control.  An individual user ID and password protect each Site account so that no one other than the user can access its features.
